Regular API Key

To ensure our platform remains stable and fair for everyone, all DeBounce APIs are rate-limited. We use a variety of strategies to enforce rate limits. We ask developers to use industry-standard techniques for limiting calls, caching results, and re-trying requests responsibly.

The maximum number of concurrent calls (parallel connections) is 10. If you validate emails with a higher speed, you will get the following error:

HTTP/ 429 Too Many Requests

{
   "debounce":{
      "error":"Maximum concurrent calls reached",
      "code":"0"
   },
   "success":"0"
}

This limitation if the "data enrichment" option is enabled becomes 2. It means you cannot enrich more than two emails at the same time.

Public API Key

The public API key starts with public_ and is suitable for use in JavaScript Codes. You must add your domain URL to the approved CORS domain list of the API key, so you can use this API Key.

Each internet IP can validate 20 emails per day using your widget. This is a security measure to protect your credits from an abuser. In this case, the widget shows "You performed many validations" error message.

If you validate more than 20 emails using the same internet IP address, you will get the following error:

HTTP/ 429 Too Many Requests

{
   "debounce":{
      "error":"Authentication Failed - The maximum number of calls per day reached."
   },
   "success":"0"
}

You can find your current internet IP address by clicking here.

Bulk Validation

You can validate only one list using the bulk validation API at the same time. If you already uploaded a list using the list-upload feature using the DeBounce dashboard and started it, your bulk API job will be queued and starts automatically once the first job is finished.

The main rule is one active bulk validation job per account.
